Thai Energy Conservtion Co., Ltd. held Songkran festival 2021 under the theme of “Songkran Thai EN Romyen, Distancing, Pay reperst to symbolism Budda image of Suphanburi province”. At the event, participants, managers, and employees brought Buddha images from their homes to join the ceremony. A bathing rite for Buddha images with poring scented water, flowers and garlands. According to ancient beliefs, Bathing the Buddha image represent respect and worship all three aspects of Buddhism, the loard Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha is an auspicious begin to the new year will cause happiness and peace. At the same time, there is also a belief that Bathing Buddha images is a cleansing ritual that we worship throughout the year.
However, the managers and employees wear a traditional Thai floral pattern shirt. Promote unity and build good relationships through Thai traditions. At the event, there was also a commemorative photo activity for employees and executives to join in a fun way.
Note: Due to the current situation of the COVID-19 epidemic. Organizing traditional Songkran activities in 2021, the activities of watering the elders in the community have been reduced but the activities to bathe the Buddha image are held within the recommended social distancing measures and public health safety standards.
